Capybara : They pretty much ignore it here too! Every once in a grand while someone will see it and they will say Oops, Sorry and then walk away...lol!

What is needed is a door to door "NO SOLICITORS" sing salesperson.

lol. I never even considered calling KSA. We find a simple "Not interested" thru a closed door or just not responding takes care of it. Solicitors don't really care to talk to a silent closed door. Most solicitors in our area are lawn guys simply putting a card at the door which is ok. At least they are working.

Since I had put up my signs up (about 2 months ago) I only got 2 different folks same day knocked at the door and luckily I wasn't home and saw it on my ring cam later or else they would have heard it from me! Haha

And don't you just roll your eyes when they say "your neighbor uses us" or some other BS. Last week one guy trying to sell pest control asked me who I used. I made up a name and he responded "oh yes, nice man". Usually I don't have a conversation with them but this guy was really trying every trick he knew. I never open the door. After I say NO and walk away, they still keep trying.

Folks, this might be the simplest annoyance we have that we can deal with ourselves, with no outside intervention required. Don't open the door. Unless you are expecting someone to arrive at your house, which, in our world today, you know ahead of time, don't open the door. If your dog goes apey every time there is a noise outside, it might be time for some training... Dogs can be trained, just like people.

It's been bad ever since we bought our home here last November. We even put up a sign. Our dogs hate them. lol. We hate them. No one reads the sign It's ridiculous

I just love their pitches (BS) If I open the door other than the BS stories, they usually back up to maintain a respectful distance, which I appreciate. I tell them not today and good luck! That seems to work. But, I am going to get a sign. I am tired of talking to them.

golfshot : The signs work most of the time, it's the ones that are approaching us when we're unloading groceries or checking the mail that are pissing us off lately.
