Tubec : That's good, but unfortunately it won't help people who simply are poor, incompetent drivers.
I pity the FC folks when NP construction gets into full swing. Hamlin will get much busier, especially that left turn under the bridge for morning commuters. A busy Hamlin means more traffic on FC Drive and Walnut.
Probably ought to just get rid of piece of 494 heading south past Sorters. Make them cross the bridge over fwy, turn left down southbound feeder and go under the freeway, then back up to Hamblen.

I say just close that cross over that causes the accidents. go around.
Texasdad : The whole issue could be resolved by removing the ability to go directly from 494 south across to Hamblen. People traveling south on 494 to Hamblen should have to go up and over 59 and then under the bridge. Let 494 South end at the light at Sorters, make it a right turn only there! I already use this method in order to avoid that intersection. Remove that sketchy little cross over altogether! As it stands, that work done at the interaction did not address the problem, there has already been another wreck there since it's installation.
