Almost hit an eagle on W Lake Houston by the YMCA tonight going to Lowes in Atascocita.
An ambulance was coming from Atascocita to the accident that was in front of the middle school and it came flying across my path! I slammed on the brakes and missed it. First one I've seen in Kingwood. A little too up close and personal!

That happened to me driving past lake conroe one day. Scared and excited me. I was driving and my dh and I were just rolling along asking what are you hungry for as I looked in his direction. Instead of asking what he wanted to eat, all I said was omg look at that American eagle as it soared past my windshield. It was so fast, so freaking huge, but a blessing.
While in Arkansas my dh had a run in with a huge vulture. As he came around the lake the damn thing come out of the gulch and slammed his drivers mirror just missing a direct hit at the windshield. Popped my mirror casing half way off. Scared the crap outta him. He was still shaking because he said it hit him so hard, the thump was so loud that if it were a direct hit of glass, he'd of eaten that bird.
Those eagles and vultures look cool soaring. When you get up close, you realize how big and solid they are. Like a freaking turkey solid lol.
