Yesterday morning was just a static display (didn't fly) but beautiful colors.

I lived near there for about 3 years and never went
It started at like 4AM!

I always leave my hotel by 4am. A bit of a nap once parked. Traffic is outrageous!

What a wonderful thing!

We went one year. Rode our bikes to the park where they take off. Went back one night for the Balloon Glow. It was definitely a bucket list item

Annie: We have a vacay place about 3 hrs north of ABQ and never ventured down to see the balloons. It's the traffic and chaos that makes ya think, well, maybe let's skip it. But we have close friends who book rooms at the Sandia Resort (hotel) which they say is across from the balloon park. They sit on the outdoor patio areas and say it's the best view!! Sounds like a plan to me.

We've been several times. It's really spectacular to watch. And my DW liked the 'Afterglow' that took place the night before, when the balloons are lit up.

That's a plan! Thanks for the idea. Sitting on a patio enjoying the view works for me. Traffic is on my avoid if possible list.
