Former RR employee gonna beef here............Please don't block these RR crossings and if you get a chance take your kids on a ride to specifically teach them crossing rules. The crews on these trains go through hell with remorse and therapy after killing some dumb *** sitting on the tracks texting. DON"T SIT ON THE TRACKS

This is one of my biggest irrational fears. It'll never happen to me bc I never even get close to stopping on a track so it blows my mind that people do. Her light was green. How tf do you panic when you're supposed to go? Did she not hear the giant train barreling down the tracks? Was she on drugs? Maybe on her phone?! Either way, it had to be terrifying to go through, to witness, and to have to recover from. Highly doubt insurance will be covering that. I also saw mixed reports about a dog. Some people said she got her dog out, others said she tried to run and left it behind until it escaped itself at the last second, and some said there wasn't even a dog involved? If she didn't even try or left it, there's a special place for her…

billcherie2 : I agree! We live right here where we have to cross the RR tracks to get out of KW to 59. Kids should be taught at a young age how to cross the RR tracks. I think it starts with the way their parents drive. When my kids were little I made it a point to tell them to never sit on the RR tracks. And I would point out where I stopped before the the line on the road so that the RR arm could go down in front of my car. When I saw someone sitting on the tracks I would point it out and tell them that we needed to stay back a little farther just in case that car got hit cause we wouldn't want that car to be shoved into our car if there was an accident. Kids learn a lot by our example!

If you are so stupid as to sit on train tracks, then you deserve the outcome
Nor, should you ever be allowed to drive again
