sweetie : If I were a thief and that is how you need to think to protect yourself. I would sit outside a bank maybe with binoculars and watch who walks out with a large envelope or bag. Then I would just take my luck thay they have cash. This is what I taught my folks that had to handle money. If we had to carry a bank bag then we always went with two people. One stayed outside to watch the people in the area and then let the other person know it was safe to come out. If we did the drive through we took two cars. If someone comes out of the bank with a bag it is a good chance thay have cash. People protect yourself, the police can not be everywhere and the bank will not be at blame. We handled thousands of dollars and never once had a problem.

Texas1965 : I think someone inside the bank lets others know when someone's withdrawn money. This just can't be a coincidence that they happened upon this bank these people are leaving and they rob them. Happens too many times

Jellybeaner : Thank you for the tips. I try to be careful leaving the bank. You just never know who's following you. I think now if I have to leave the bank with any money I'm going to go and drive in front of the police station and sit for few minutes

Wow! Where is this Well Fargo? I do almost all of my banking online and carry very little cash but I'm going to increase my awareness. I think if I have a situation in the future where I am withdrawing cash that I will step into the restroom before leaving the bank and stash the cash in my granny panties. The post doesn't mention where the mugging happened. I wonder if it was after leaving the bank. The banks need to have security surveillance to capture images of suspicious cars or individuals.
