I wear a small whistle on a lanyard around my neck. Also see if you can wear a fannypack to keep your wallet in. A thief can grab a large purse and cause some real trauma especially if it is on your shoulder. It appears to help as some people think I am "carrying" if I have my fannypack. Keep phone readily accessible in pocket on yourself. Just some advice from an in-law LEO.

Wow! Where is this Well Fargo? I do almost all of my banking online and carry very little cash but I'm going to increase my awareness. I think if I have a situation in the future where I am withdrawing cash that I will step into the restroom before leaving the bank and stash the cash in my granny panties. The post doesn't mention where the mugging happened. I wonder if it was after leaving the bank. The banks need to have security surveillance to capture images of suspicious cars or individuals.
teatime : They followed her home!!!
sweetie : That is horrible. Unfortunately it is becoming an every day occurence.
sweetie : The James brothers made it popular back in the 1800s and it is still the thing for crooks to do. The bank is where the money is. If you are not going to be careful about your surrounding then do not get cash at the bank and carry it in your hand out to your car, At least put it into your pocket. Better yet go to the drive through and watch to see if someone follows you. I was in retail a lot of years and we had traing classes for our people that had to make bank runs. You can never be too safe.
sweetie : No police around. I can count on one hand how many police cars I have seen in last 5 years.
