11-year-old boy shot and killed while playing "ding dong ditch"

Smoothwaters : hours as in days? This happened Saturday night. The boy died Sunday. The police never arrested him. They just spoke to him and let him go. I can only assume b/c he was ex military. FINALLY they got around to charging the guy with murder before he could skip town. Found loads of guns and explosives at his home, too.

The dude was hiding in the yard and chased the kids down the street and very obviously premeditated. Big mistake !

I wish I could see the thread that was posted, but it's from someone who blocked me. I don't necessarily care what they have to say, but I want to see the general discussion. I'm glad they are charging him with murder. You don't get to just shoot someone all willy nilly, fear be damned. Fear is not enough to justify killing someone in my opinion.

StGetoffmylawn1 : I agree with the first part but somewhat disagree with the second part. If you fear someone is going to cause you bodily harm or death than you're justified in shooting, if you have a fear of the dark than no, you shouldn't shoot anyone or even own a firearm.

StGetoffmylawn1 : If the fear is coming from instinctual "oh hell is someone trying to kick my door in?" You may want to rephrase that.
