Well, with the combined lighting and power outages, I guess I can expect more appliance and home theater components to blow out. Lost an expensive audio receiver a few weeks ago due to these dang surges!!
sellbuy : I make my daughter unplug all her gaming devices and computers. She gets annoyed but I'm not replacing $2500 worth of electronics!
xXKaedeKha0sXx : We also lost a dryer a few months ago. We have a whole house generator, with a surge protector on that. Need to look into a surge protector that protects the entire house

******, I just topped up the pool yesterday. I'd have left it alone if I knew a storm was coming to do it for me.
