I received a 3-month free trial when I bought my new car. Not a fan. The songs on the stations sound monotone and flat, not in stereo. And the volume for XM is different than everything else. Also, I lose reception when pulling into my garage or under an overpass. And I hardly ever hear any deep cuts, just the same stuff as FM radio. Can't justify paying for this.
@WskyTngoFxtrt: We also got 3 free months when we bought our new 4Runner. We often drive to NE Louisiana or to an area north of Little Rock. The only thing you can pick up on radio is country music (old fashioned type) or religious stations. We usually have to pack a bunch of CDs to have anything that we like to listen to. We listened to XM Sirius radio on our last trip and decided it was worth the cost. It does have the disadvantage of losing the signal if the line of sight to the satellite is blocked.
