I was sitting on the patio this afternoon and a good size spider jumped from a table to my leg.I popped it and the darn thing exploded into hundreds of pieces.I thought they would be tougher. 4951

Im still freaking....yesterday, Half asleep I bent down to grab what I thought was a husky hairball and it moved. In the picture it has a clear bowl about 6 inches over it. The quarter is on the bowl up high so does not do the size justice. This thing was huge. About the size of a small trantula.

General opinion is that he is a wolf spider. His legs could have wrapped about half way around a baseball. I'm still creeping out over this thing. We sit on about 3 acres from same landlord but only have to care for one. I walked this little **** out to the back acre and threw him as far as I could.....😲

I kinda thought so at first but way too big for a recluse. Markings are more that of a wolf and this guy didn't hide or run..recluse are slower and seldom just sit in the open. This guy hung out like he owned the place....lol

@Maisey1:

Large wolf spinders are very good at killing roaches, skeeters and other small pest. They have been known to devour other smaller spiders like the recluse and widow. They also do not use a web so are not messy.

Really as long as They stay off and away from me I won't kill them. This one I captured and let go on the back acre that is over grown so it could feast on those big wood roaches that like to hang in over grown areas....😁

Like snakes, if not poisonous they are welcome to stay...

OUTSIDE....LOL(cause this one was big enough we would have to set a dinner table spot for him)
