I made a  batch of pinto beans in the crock pot this weekend.  I have totally been loving all the Mexican food I can make with it.  Burrito's, nachos, taco salad....Yum! I picked up some peach and tomato salsa at a U-Pick farm this weekend.  Its so good!  It was fun picking tons of strawberries, though rotten ones really stink.  Looking forward to picking blackberries in a couple weeks.  4951

I love almost all types of beans. I made a pot of white beans, soaked them for a day and served them with some thick pork chops I brined for 24 hours. My favorite though are butter beans but cooked cajun style with a roux.   4951

I love beans. So good for you. Fiber, potassium, & magnesium (all three severely lacking in the American diet). Kidney & Black Eyed Peas are my favorites. 4951

Never have liked butter beans but maybe with a roux I could handle them. 4951
