Calling the Obama economy a wasteland is an understatement.
Here are just seven economic facts that begin to capture the economic pain Americans are presently experiencing as they struggle to survive the ravages of the Obama economy :
1.  Every fifth man in America is out of a job.   Indeed, black male unemployment is now at the highest rate it has ever been since the U.S. government began collecting statistics on the subject in 1972.  Just 56.9 percent of black men over the age of 20 are now working.   Indeed, according to Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), one out of every six African Americans, male or female, are now unemployed.
2. Every seventh person you pass on the sidewalk now relies on food stamps.
3.  On the last day of President Bush's presidency, gas prices were $1.84 a gallon. Today under Obama, the average price of a gallon of gas costs $3.94.   Easter weekend in Catalina Island, California, drivers saw prices topping $7 a gallon.
4.  In 2006 and 2007, 90% of all college graduates found a job.  Under Obama, just 56% of college graduates are able to find a job.
5.  More than one in four U.S. homeowners are "under water" or owe more than their homes are worth.   The housing crisis has now destroyed $7 trillion in U.S. household wealth.  Another 9.5 million homes are still at risk of default, sparking what analysts believe will be a second wave of foreclosures in the months to come.
6.  President Obama has increased the national debt more in three years than President Bush did in eight.  Under Bush, the debt rose $4.899 trillion in eight years.  In three years, Obama has exploded the debt by $4.939 trillion.
7. A record 87,897,000 Americans are no longer in the labor force.   When the number of individuals who have stopped looking for a job and/or who are working part-time but desire full-time employment is included--a figure known as the "underemployment rate"--real unemployment stands at 19.1%.
As President Obama said in a speech a week ago, "In three years we’ve begun to see what change looks like."Read more: www.ktrh.com/pages/m ichaelberry.html#ixz z1rqlwkIh2

I expect someone from Obama's "Truth Squad" try and deflect, blame Bush or say something bad about Romney's wife. 4951

It was Bush's fault that Romney's wife had to stay at home and perform slave labor.  4951

if you check into it you will find that every US president had something bad written about them after they served their term ...how about printing some of the "good" things that have happened while Obama has been in office.

Iam not saying Iam for Obama but it gets really sickening hearing  all the "bad " things about any president that is still in  office. If you don't like what that person is doing then by all means go & vote & get him or her out of office. But do not continue to "sling dirt" when the person or persons are not here to defend their selves.

Iam sure everyone has heard it "all" before over the last 4 years. It's bad enough that we have to hear it on the radio & TV & with election time just around the corner that will be all we will be able to here for months on end . I for one am just plain sick & tired of hearing about Romney , Obama, & all the others that think they know enough to run a country . So far the only President that really ran a good 2 terms was Clinton & he was a womanizer  & skirt chaser the entire time he was in office.

So instead of  "slinging mud" , no matter how true it is , just keep it to your self , it will all come out on the news during the election runs ....  4951

I don't see that as slinging mud. I just thought it was a very factual article about how his policies have failed.

Clinton was alright (once the Republicans took over the congress).

You haven't said the REALLY sad thing, which trumps all those truths.Even if we get a party "change" next November then we are left with a moderate Mormon from Massachusetts who forced people in his state to buy health insurance and has flip-flopped more times than a fish out of water--and has trouble convincing his own damn party base that he's a conservative.Obviously, Mitt's better than Barry, but it's really picking between the lesser of two evils.  Why can't we have anyone *good* run for president for Chrissake?!?  We got 300 million people in this country, why are all the front-runners so bad? 4951

Reagan was a Democrat once, so I willgiveRomney the benefit of the doubt. I still like what he said at CPAC in 2008. His speech could have been taken out of Atlas Shrugged.

I'll take a Mormon over wahtever the heck Obama believes in. 4951

it takes lots of $$ to run for any office , the really good ones do not have that kind of $$ or political backing which you need to get into any office. Those that have $$ want to keep it , so they have to get into office so they can pass the bills that allow them to keep their $$ & then makes us poor under paid people foot the bill for the really rich ....need I say more ? 4951

This week Joe Biden called Al Franken a leading legal scholar, campaigned to a crying baby, and said that lowering government spending will leave a huge debt for the next generation. 4951
