I think the kiss in as well as all the publicity is stupid.

If people are that upset about his opinion, why put money in his pocket? 4951

It would seem to me that if a legal civil union gives a same sex couple all the rights of a married couple, why the big hoopdie doo? But I am not an expert on the subject. Is it about legal rights, or religious rights?Because they are not the same thing. 4951

I was sent this link as an explanation about what the controversy was about. It's eye opening, to say the least.

It seems to be entirely about the legal issues and not at all about religious issues, at least from the perspective of that blogger. 4951

@FoFa: Actually it's about government interfering with a man's right to put his privately owned company  where he damn well chooses. When the government interferes with private sector businesses and actually promotes bans/boycotts of businesses because of their Christian beliefs, they have crossed the line, yet again. But their is no line with flam-in libs so what do they do. The usual. The people against the government interfering with Chick'fil'a were the ones putting money in their pockets, not the ones for gay marriage.

@Dutch: The government did not actually do anything, they talked big, but did nothing in reality.
So other than some blow hard politicians trying to pander to voters, and as the 1st amendment was pointed out to many of them, have since shut up.I also read the linked blog on the issue, but it does not really apply to the CFO of CFA and what he said.It talks about foreign countries and their disdain for gays (can't change foreign countries, unless you are suggesting we go to war over it, sorry) and states rights. Again, government, but not business. So it just seems more of the same "Lets beat the drum to get some news coverage" thing.I mean if it was such a huge deal, would this not of come to a head a month ago when Cathy said it? 4951

@elguapo: Not necessarily, but they are a bunch of trouble ***** mongers. That's their business. Too bad they can't just tell the facts and stay out of opinion and inflaming things. I officially woke up not caring. Christians feel marriage b/t a man and a woman is fundamental to family and the fabric of society. I get that. I really do. But now we have a society with plenty of homosexuals who feel differently...What are you going to do? I suggest people learn how to accept each other differences and move on. Leave all unions to one's religious inclinations and private choices. Nothing regarding this will ever change..so why make a war out of it??OR, be like me, just stop caring one way or the other. Neutrality is more peaceful.

@FoFa: Actually they did quite a bit. Calling for bans and boycotts alone in itself is scary when its focused on private sector business. That blog was so idiotic I could barely get though it. Again, typical lib. Don't tell the facts go waaaay around the back door (no pun intended) and try to make it something it's not. Bullies, gays, millionaires...please!
