Couple months ago when I was visiting my DD1 in Dallas we went to a place called Big Shucks (went because they had mud bugs). Saw they had whole fried catfish. So I ordered one (plus some mud bugs).It was wonderful.I don't know why, but fried catfish fillets just aren't that good to me. They always seem to have a fishy taste.
@FoFa: That's probably because a lot of restaurants (even the expensive ones now) cut corners with catfish and don't get the all white meat fillets anymore. So you get that dark "belly meat" that's salty & fishy tasting. I don't order catfish that much anymore because I get **** when one of my fillets has a big portion of the belly meat in it.
