@kpdad:
Uhhhhhh, I think you are missing something. This isnt about a citizen boycotting a product. It's about government officials using laws to prevent businesses from opening because they dont agree with the CEO's personal views. If you can't see the difference, you opinion is too misinformed to be taken seriously.

@SeeVee:You do understand that no government officials are actually using laws to prevent CFA from opening new branches, right? Google is your friend, my child. Google is your friend.http://lmgtfy.com/?q=boston+mayor+won%27t+stop+chick-fil-a

@kpdad: what, pray tell, are you talking about? Most of your posts are unintelligible because of you inane attempts at being super-intelligent, and this one is no different.
Mayor Menin clearly stated that he was "going to do everything in his power" to stop CFA from operating in Boston. It was only when he realized that he could do nothing, that he changed his tune.

You do understand that is exactly what they are threatening to do. As a matter of fact, the only reason they are not doing it is because after suggesting it, public outcry went against them. More importantly, it is unAmerican for an elected official to suggest that the thought police are are ready to pounce.[quote-end-tag-mismatch]
@SeeVee: Good save to mask your error!

@SeeVee: So long story short, you're arguing that it is un-American to do what nobody actually did. Got it. You shouldn't take things so personally. I used to be quite hot-headed when I was younger too, but honestly it's not worth getting worked up over, um, a message board forum where almost nobody uses their real name. And again, good save.

@kpdad: You're going through a lot of effort to maintain a superior stance in this. I doubt you are less hot-headed then you claim - maybe just a little more restrained. The mayor was initially going to use his legally given powers to restrict Chik-Fil-A from opening a store. Once this was exposed to be a decision in direct conflict with the 1st Amendment Right he changed his tune. Howeve, the Mayor is still doing whatever he can to stop Chik-Fil-A from opening in the city which is discrimination simply because he doesn't agree with the CEO's beliefs. What is un-American about all this is the absurd media coverage of this. This nation has always been taught the idealism of free speech and the freedoms of practicing such.  Law defines the powers of the government - SeeVee was right on key. She had no reason to rephrase it so you could better understand. You should be familar with the law a little more before debating something regarding that.
