In the Houston Area, we have flood maps spanning more than three decades. See why and how difficult that makes it for you to estimate your flood risk.

THANKS BOB. I was over by Cypresswood and jones road recently and my jaw hit the floor. A field that had lots of trees was totally cleared. New storm sewers etc but they goofed and made mistake and now have to replant and make it nice. Also near a creek by the college. and they had big flooding what 5 years ago or so there so fema took over some property there back then.
You helped stop the boat/hotel build on San Jac by the WLHP with all the articles and petititions.
Also the 700 homes they wanted to build in the flood plain along SAN Jac by 59West side along the creek. I remember the Addicks and the flood and the deep drop off hwy 6 near the park and the addicks reservoir. It is vital to have up to date facts when all these new subdivisions go in esp Waller and North Houston/south Montgomery...The building along 99 is phenomenal. Soon we will need another outer belt to get around. Thanks for all the input and work keeping us updated. May we get great people in the right slots to do the work. Thank God they are keeping the trees around the airport even with all the expansions.
