Those pictures are so hard to look at. I wish that I never opened the post. Sure hope someone gets the deer some help ASAP.

Accountable? LOL! The deer hit the car/truck. Does the deer have insurance?

From the game warden's website:"Q1: A deer has been hit on the highway, what do I do?
A1: If the deer is just injured call your local game warden dispatcher. If you are absolutely sure the deer is dead, you may move it off the roadway and leave it there. Texas Department of Transportation will remove the dead animal. It is illegal to tag the deer (or any game animal for that matter) and take it with you."

Not to appear crash, but does anyone remember a radio DJ named Moby, who used to play a tape about a man that hit a deer then had a fight with a dog over it?

Yeah it does but doesn't make it ok. It is not that hard to be nice.

FatCop : wrong. In Texas you can take home most non-protected/non-endangered animals you run over or even find on the road. A deer you have to call the game warden and get him to sign off on it. (One place I lived many years ago the deer had to do $25.00 worth of damage to your vehicle. Otherwise the game warden would load it up and take it to a butcher shop that would then give the meat to a local orphanage,)

Donnawisdom : I just want to know what happened, if the game warden showed up etc etc. and how long was the deer suffering I'd put it out of its misery myself but wouldn't want the dramatic backlash for doing it
