Crunch Fitness Plans $5 Million Kingwood Gym for Early 2027 Crunch Fitness plans to open a $5 million gym in Kingwood in early 2027. The company says the 35,000-square-foot location will be at 4303 Kingwood Drive in Kings Crossing, near West Lake Houston Parkway. Plans call for strength and cardio equipment, Olympic lifting platforms, group fitness classes, a hot yoga studio and an indoor turf area for high-intensity training. HydroMassage beds, an infrared sauna, locker rooms with showers and Kids Crunch babysitting are also listed among the amenities. Fitness Ventures, LLC will operate the gym, which will use Crunch's new 3.0 design. The company advertises memberships starting at $9.99 per month and a founding-member offer for the first 500 people who lock in their rate. An exact opening date was not included in the announcement. Are you looking forward to this new fitness-focused addition to Kingwood?

It's going in next door to Sprouts. While I don't think we need another gym, not sure what else you could do with those big spaces. Also a win/win for both Sprouts and Crunch as people who eat healthier organic food are more likely to exercise and shop at stores focusing on organic food. My wife and I were hoping they put some sort or POST type thing there. Different pop-up style food spots, bar, small retail, etc all in one building. Not sure if we have the community or demographics for that to be successful here though.

Agree. I didn't grow up here, but my wife did, and she said they just hung out in front of Randall's. Seems not much has changed, because I see kids hanging out in the HEB parking lot on weekends.
