On occasion I drive down Atasca Oaks Drive in Oaks of Atascocita. There was a beautiful house located at 19616 Atasca Oaks that has been torn down. It's gone. Does anyone know the story behind this? TYIA

Picasso13 :
Maybe they didn't like the house and wanted to start from scratch.

I believe it had a fire and was badly damaged, then torn down.

I don't know all the answers, but it's been fun researching online as I watch UT work on OU

Our crack research team learned:

-the arrested guy owned it for almost 25 years, raised a family, did some scams, got divorced, kept the house, but eventually got foreclosed upon
-for about three years it was owned by a couple of different 'home investors' - one a real estate agent from Galveston, the other a trailer park tycoon from Houston
- the new owners (who I read are going clean slate on it) are an immigration attorney and her husband
