I got "Go" back packs years ago. I check them before each hurricane season and afterward. I have a GO backpack for the technology. I have a GO medication pack for medicines and medical equipment we need regularly. I have a GO box for valuable papers and $ in the safe. I have a GO 1st Aid bag. I have my hurricane food and water. It's a hassle, but we never know when a storm will hit. At least I don't worry about this stuff. We have drills...we always had fire drills when kids were home (including going down a chain ladder), now one of us just has Alexa wake us up in the night and we start a timer. We can be in the cars in 10 minutes, dressed with our bags.
