Purgatory Scream Park Returns to Kingwood for 2026 Halloween SeasonA hometown Halloween tradition will return September 25 when Purgatory Scream Park opens its gates for the 2026 season, bringing all-new immersive effects, expanded attractions and more than 100 seasonal jobs to the Kingwood area.Built and operated by a local team, Purgatory has grown from a community attraction into one of the Houston area’s most talked-about haunted destinations. Despite that growth, the production remains firmly rooted in Kingwood, employing local actors, makeup artists, security personnel and support staff each fall.Guests attending this year’s event can expect extensively detailed environments, live performers and upgraded lighting, sound and special effects designed to create Purgatory’s most immersive season to date.
