New store: buy, sell, and trade 2nd & Charles, owned by Books-A-Million, is opening in Humble. 2nd & Charles is a large-format entertainment retail chain that specializes in a high-volume buy, sell, and trade model. phylbob : Sounds somewhat like the Lubbock store I used after my brother died.
It was during Covid and most donation places were not accepting donations.
But that one would. One of his neighbors helped by hauling the books, records to the store. In exchange, she was able to receive books for mission schools.
So, I donated the books, she donated her time and effort, and the mission schools received books!

Txbutterfly : BAM is nicely done, like a smaller Barnes and Nobles. But, the prices are a bit high. I can find the same books at the HAAM Store, Hardback, dust cover pristine for 1 to 2 dollars. The hardback section is on the right side of the store, against the wall. They also have a paperback section, most a dollar. Also find good prices for books on eBay. BAM Does have some fun gifts for the reader in your life, and it's pleasant to spend a few minutes looking at books you might interested in.
