I have developed a habit of slowing my car down as I approach areas where the greenbelt trains cross the road. Sooo many joggers and bikers do NOT stop or even slow and look. Despite the fact that it is clearly stamped on the trails STOP.

That's scary considering many residents of that area do not drive the posted speed limit.

Zz98721 : or pay attention to the roads since they are on their phones. When one of these kids gets hit, the parents will blame everyone but themselves and their precious kiddo that has zero sense for following traffic laws. Maybe then people will wake up.

No lawsuit will stand for operating a motorized vehicle on a private trail with signs and notices prohibiting it.

I came here because I know there is always a very accurate weather post to read. Then I saw this. These little boys are everywhere and I understand letting kids have independence, and it's great that they are not holed up on video games. BUT they absolutely do not watch out for cars. They show off amongst themselves with wheelies. They never follow road rules, stop signs etc. They dart out in front of cars. And it's ALL of them. So if you think your kid is running around with one of these groups, but knows better- he doesn't. When the group rides around they behave as close to the most daredevil member as they can. That's very normal is behavior. But now they have powerful bikes versus pedaling lol. They are in my neighborhood every day and usually a few in the HEB area if I head that way. I'm not mad at them at all, I would have absolutely LOVED this as a kid. But we have to shut it down. If there are parents here that see this, I'm not sure what the solution is. Mine are all in college and I'm really thankful I missed this trend. Good luck.

Geez! When I was in elementary we had school programs every year about bicycle safety, including using hand signs. These kids have probably never even heard of a hand signal. We need a huge public awareness campaign.

Well, he is wearing a helmet but....does he have both ear buds in? I see that quite often which is concerning. At least leave 1 earbud out to be aware of your surroundings.
