Can someone please recommend a reliable "not gimmicky/"over selling " general contractor or someone that handles with home insulation that you have worked with great and you have seen great results after using them, it's to hot in my home . The AC is overworking and it's taking a long time to cool down. Much appreciation and thank you 🙏

Yes we have a warranty that they come in and do their maintenance and it was not so long ago and they said it is working fine. I need someone to go into the attic and see what is going on why is taking forever to cool down.

We use Goode for air conditioning.
Standard is for air conditioning to get 20 degrees off outside temp but I run mine at 73 and it sometimes goes higher late afternoon but drops back to 73 after dark. With the 100 degree temps, it might just be trying to keep up. Is it cooling overnight?
Last night we put it at 70 degrees and the house didn't cool down but rather the house felt warmer the rooms read 76 and going up this makes the AC work even harder. So I'm thinking that it has to be insulation and probably the AC. I am really looking for someone who does insulation that can come and quote me but not those folks that try to oversell you bu rather go up in the attic and inspect and tell me what is the problem and have a solution.

There are so many things to go wrong on a/c….low coolant, dirty filters in house, dirty screen on outside unit, poor fan performance. I'm not sure who you had check your A/C but I have always had Goode, and my technician's name is Hoger.

I'm sorry I don't know anyone. I thought A/C people handled insulation too. If yours doesn't, is there someone they can recommend?

Not to harp on this but you may not need insulation and don't get someone who pushes too much on this. The area we live can cause humidity (then mold or mildew). My roofer cautioned me about this when I asked if he thought we needed more insulation (answer was no).
