Sad news for fans of 95.7 The Spot

Many memories of listening to houston sports on the static sounds of AM radio.

Just wish they would move the Astros back full time to 740 powerhouse! Low power 790 ain't cuttin it for those west coast game times!

That absolutely SUCKS!!....One of my favorite FM stations!....I always called it "The Wet Spot"....They played a great mix of stuff from several decades...And turning it into a cheesy-*** Sports station....SMH!!...

So now only one station that plays 60's thru 80/90's music? Houston radio is horrible. Big Dog 106.1 out of Beaumont is pretty good but only pick-it up if traveling east.

I'm not sure what music 95.7 played, but I like the fact that I'll now get the Texans game play-by-play on FM now.

Guess I'm gonna have to go with my own collection....At least I won't have to deal with "shady commercials", most of which are technically "scams" but nobody in positions of "authority" ever investigates them....

Smoothwaters: yes! I still have a small transistor radio that I take to the beach with me and every once in a while, I tune it to a.m. stations just for the nostalgia of it. Stewart Beach and AM Radio, 1973

Nooooo!!!!! Guess I'll switch to the Eagle for now.

That sucks. I liked their mix of music.

97.9 FM (KBXX): Hip-Hop / R&B (The Box)
102.1 FM (KMJQ): Urban Adult Contemporary (Majic 102.1)
