FIFA Fan Fest Rowdiness Houston... Not sure of the details yet, but they have halted entry into the FanFest in EaDo Houston. The reporter , Coco Dominguez, on Fox ,is usually upbeat and into interviews and info, but she seemed very perturbed and said she was 'turning away' from the crowd, and they would be back with more info, soon. We can't have nice things.

My son took my grandson last weekend and they had so much fun. He said the crowd was especially upbeat and friendly. They enjoyed visiting with so many international visitors. He will be surprised to hear this.
wmubronco, Txbutterfly and CatalinaD + 1 more reacted me too' apparently someone inside was causing problems, prob due to a combo of heat and alcohol, and they had halted entry. watching for more info.
They need to have electrolyte drinks there too and not for high prices so more people will use them.
SummerSneeze and teatime reacted good idea, but even better , grab some of the little drink mix packets with electrolytes, to add to your water. they allow you to bring in an empty bottle for water, and fill up , free, at the tents. So, it will cost Very little, this way. I bring these, and other mixes with me,a lot.
so, at 5pm, the Fan Festival was at capacity, which apparently made a lot of people upset. They had paid for parking, etc, only to find they were not going to be allowed in, to watch the game. Very popular game, and the city Should have planned to have another/overflow area, but they did not. The website was directing fans to 'visit area businesses for additional dining and entertainment options', but getting into and Staying in those, mean buying food and drink, so fans were Not happy. Those upset luckily, got over their upset, and moved out of the area.
