I never go to Whataburger by HEB but went today. As I was waiting on my food I noticed there is a stop sign as as people turn in from WLH. I thought it was a weird place to put one especially coming off a busy street. NO ONE stops at it and no one gives the right away coming out of Whataburger even if it is busy. Someone honked when I had the right away and they have a stop sign.

Are you sure it's the stop sign I think it's the sign directing you to curbside
Elamil and muffy reacted No the one by whatbuger and the gas pumps. Not one person stopped at it. It gives the turning car less than 2 car length and a sidewalk to stop. The stop sign should be at whatburger and the gas pumps parking lots not a busy street we're cars are turning.
In Harris Co, if it is on private property ( the parking lot), a person who runs the sign may not be given a ticket, unless there is a specific contract between law enforcement and the property owner. People Should stop, re the traffic flow, but some are Offensive, not Defensive drivers.

Heck. folks don't stop at 4 way stops. Then you got the e-bikes who glide through without looking. Some days I have to ask for forgiveness because of other drivers.
You mean you didn't get the FOMO Memo about how one should speed like a crazed lunatic to be the first to arrive at the HEB stopsigns?
People drive like complete idiots here.

I know exactly what stop sign you're talking about. I've never seen anyone stopped there either.
MeAgain and jv339 reacted Please be very careful coming out of Whataburger at the exit by wlh parkway. That is not a stop sign. It is a curbside pickup sign.
that is not a traffic sign, and can't tell if it is octagonal like a stop sign? If it is, they need to change it, to avoid confusion. would be better to make that into a 'sandwich board' type of sign that would not be confused as related to traffic flow. but, still, the bright blue color should keep people from thinking they need to stop? might be a good idea to attach that photo to an email to them, on their website with info of the confusion it's causing.
There are several of those signs along that stretch of road going into HEB's parking lot. They do cause a lot of confusion because, while they aren't the same shape and size as a stop sign, I'm pretty sure they are only printed on one side, so when seen from behind, they are mistaken for stop signs.
