UPDATE: Arrest Made in Kingwood H‑E‑B eBike Theft

I want to update the community regarding the eBike stolen from the Kingwood H‑E‑B parking lot.

Frank Marmolejo was arrested in connection with the theft and has since been released from custody. The individuals identified in this property-crimes matter are:

* Kristina Simmons - #1971698
* Frank Marmolejo - #1971700

I am disappointed that Marmolejo was released, but I appreciate everyone who shared information and helped bring attention to the incident.

The couple reportedly no longer resides in Kingwood and has relocated to the South Houston area. This information is being shared so Kingwood residents are aware of the outcome and know that they are no longer believed to be living in our immediate community.

The vehicle associated with the incident was a silver Dodge Durango bearing Texas license plate BHS-0097, with a distinctive bumper sticker on the lower-left portion of the liftgate glass.

The theft occurred at approximately 9:40 p.m. Security footage showed the couple surveying the area before the bicycle was taken. An official police report was filed, and Officer Sampson, Unit 24C10N, handled the matter.

Please remember that an arrest is not a conviction, and custody status can change as a case proceeds.

#msg5931151Stolen eBike from Kingwood HEB - Looking for Info / Silver Dodge Durango Hey everyone, Last night around 9:40 PM, an eBike was stolen right from the HEB here in Kingwood. We are looking to see if anyone has any information or might have witnessed anything suspicious in the parking lot around that time. Security footage caught the incident, showing a couple casing the area before driving off with the bike. While we are keeping the specific images of the couple confidential for the time being, they can absolutely be made available if warranted to help identify them. In the meantime, here are the details we can share regarding the suspects and their vehicle: The Vehicle: A silver Dodge Durango. It features a distinctive bumper sticker located on the lower left glass of the liftgate. The License Plate: BHS 0097 (believed to be a Texas plate). Suspect Descriptions: Male: Hispanic, late 20s, approximately 5'10", around 185 lbs with short dark hair and a beard. He was wearing a white short-sleeved t-shirt, dark jeans, and white shoes. He hopped on the bike, rode it around the front behind the plants, and then headed around the back of the store. Sight of him was lost heading toward W. Lake Houston. Female: Caucasian, early 30s, rough appearance. She was wearing a black hoodie, black "yoga" pants, and white thong flip-flops. An official police report has been filed, and Officer Sampson (Unit: 24C10N) is handling the case.

Sophrogeny : I'm sorry this happened to you. Why did you not lock it up somehow? I hope the scum is caught, charged, and you get your bike back.

Texasdad :
This happened to several boys at the YMCA years back. Someone stole their phones and the shoe they were in while playing basketball. We went on Find A Friend and found location at apartments across from
KHS. Called police and DH went to the apartment. Dad answered and said his son was no longer home but phones show they were. He told us to have him arrested because he was over the kid. Police said it was a felony but weren't allowed to search for them. When I was leaving with all the boys we saw him in the parking lot. Called police back and got all their phones back. I saw the kid walk out in front of my car in the KHS parking lot weeks later. I was tempted to say some choice words for the punk.

myopinions4me : Came here to say the same thing. So many people will identify them. I am surprised with the license plate number the cops are not already knocking on some doors unless the vehicle was stolen too. Keep us informed. There was an e-bike stolen at KPark last yet. The general consensus was hidden tracking devices. AirPods pop on the phone and will say AirPod near by so maybe need to be a different device

Smoothwaters : Curious how you found the exact apartment. Some of those tracking devices are a general area.

Sophrogeny :
With those pictures it shouldn't be hard to identify them. Grateful to HEB for sharing their security pictures. I agree with the others - share with Grizzy-she loves to get "a come on down".
