Terminal E at Bush Airport to be renamed

Trump will probably rename it to the "Donald J. Trump and Sheila Jackson Lee Terminal" at the "Donald J. Trump and George Bush Intercontinental Airport".

Not a fan of her either.They should find something else to name after her.

PlaneCrazy : Well a bunch of us were already thinking it, so why not? In fact as I read the title of the thread, my stomach did a little flip, expecting it to be renamed after Trump. (Of course, then it would have to all be painted gold.....) So in light of that, although I'm not a SJL fan, I was quite relieved.

I'm reading this as I watch the 5 o'clock news story on the renaming of the terminal. I wasn't a fan of her, but she was a champion for infrastructure funding for all Houston area airports, as well as numerous aviation safety programs. There's no need to get worked up over everything.

Now we'll have a bunch of letters: Terminals A, B, C, D, and SJL

Why not name it after local teachers in Humble and Houston ISD. Someone that really made a difference for our communities. It could be updated annually as part of a contest with the name change for the teacher of the year. I am not a teacher, but politicians can have such big egos and she was not a pleasant person.

Wasn't one of the terminals named after Mickey Leland? Maybe that was terminal D? But I never hear it referred to the Mickey Leland terminal so maybe there will just be a sign up saying it is the SJL terminal but everyone will still refer to it as terminal E.

How quickly we forget she is a bully.
