I was surprised to hear this on the news last night. I thought all of the middle and high schools in our district had the detection systems in place. I was also surprised by the lack of notification to the parents and staff, this would all make me worried, too.
Remember when we were in school and the biggest thing we worried about was acing the algebra test? I can't imagine having to worry about some hood rat pulling a gun on me. How does a middle school kid have access to a gun in the first place? It's a crazy world that kids have to navigate today.
#msg5912412You have to blame the parent(s) on this one it seems
Maybe lack of communication is an indicator that this type of behavior is very very frequent in our educational systems today which is SO sad and scary. The schools need to do better and the parents need to do MUCH better with their offspring.
