It has been many years since we've done this, too. We went out to Froberg's Farm in Alvin, TX. They also have an entrance fee, and you purchase a bucket for $2.00. The berries were fantastic, and the country store they have has a lot of really great, fresh produce with fruits, vegetables, and pastries you can purchase. It's a little further than most places, but we thought it was worth the drive.

I didn't know there was a place to pick strawberries out here. Usually in the summer I pick blueberries at Moorehead's blueberry farm.

@UptownGirl: april through june is the main season; will be better in late April. We need some rain for the sugar content in the berries
