Kingwood Community - Help Identifying Individual (Greenbelt Incident, March 7)
Kingwood neighbors, I'm asking for the community's help identifying a man who was jogging on the Kingwood greenbelt near the wooden bridge behind the Kings Point Village area, near the intersection of Piney Birch Dr and Bald Springs Dr. On Saturday, March 7 between approximately 4:15 PM and 4:25 PM, my 10-year-old son was riding his bike on the greenbelt when a male jogger confronted him near the wooden bridge section of the trail and physically assaulted him without provocation. Description of the individual: - White male
- Approximately 40+ years old
- Brown eyes
-
- White visor
- Blue long-sleeve athletic shirt
- Black shorts
- Jogging on the greenbelt trail behind the homes near Piney Birch / Bald Springs Kings Point Subdivision. If you live nearby and have Ring, security, or other camera footage facing the greenbelt entrances, particularly during 4:10-4:20 PM Saturday 3/7, please check your recordings. Anyone who saw a jogger matching this description or has information related to this incident is asked to reach out to me directly. Thank you to the Kingwood community for helping keep our neighborhood safe.

I don't live in that area, but hopefully someone here does. I am so sorry for your young son. Prayers you get answers and your family gets rest tonight. This is inexcusable!

What bridge ? Are you talking about turtle bridge that connects to Foster's Mill by the golf course? I'm on that trail twice a day and usually with my 10 year old grandson.
I have only encountered the nicest people on our walks. Most of chat and feed the turtles there on the bridge.
I'm shocked to hear what happened to your child! Did you call the police?

Or do you mean the bridges that run along the golf course and lead to the lake front ? I'm also on that stretch of trail daily.
I know I have had close calls with bicycles especially motorized ones that come up from behind me without calling out - especially when it is kids.
It can be unsettling but never an excuse for any kind of confrontational behavior. I hope your child is okay.

Hopefully someone can help identify. Assaulting a child is not acceptable.

Wow! Hopefully he is caught, that is not ok. I imagine your Son is shook up, is he ok? How truly sad.
Ledzep4Ever and rikster reacted Didn't realize there is a wooden bridge. Was he coming from George Butler Park? Either way I hope you find the guy.
