DOJ settles their case with Colony Ridge Developers. They settled with the Feds for 68 Million dollars all the while refusing to admit they ran a fraud scheme against Latinos who were trying to buy homes, often repossessing a home that fell into foreclosure and reselling the same property multiple times. They were also charging higher interest rates and the utilities and sewer systems failed. The predatory lending practices targeted Latinos by advertising in Spanish, using Hispanic sales and service people and offering new homes.

Note their statement at the end of article.

It's gonna be interesting bc they agreed to hault home selling for 3 years, but then what??

MissAmericanPie : The developers sell the same property over and over. So unethical! It will be interesting to see how this goes with them funding the local law enforcement! How's that gonna work out?

GirlonaBoat :
I think there's no chance the developers actually pay what they agreed to pay.

That property will exist in a state of "life after people" without any positive signs of development until they sell it to a developer with more money that can renegotiate the terms based on a much more viable plan than what the current "developers" attempted.
