Armed, Intoxicated Driver Flees Traffic Stop Before ArrestBOOZE, A GUN, AND A RUN: CONSTABLES ARREST ARMED, INTOXICATED DRIVER!On February 3, 2026, Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle near the 2100 block of Atascocita Road. The driver failed to stop and was observed throwing an object out of the vehicle window as he fled.After a brief pursuit, deputies successfully apprehended the driver, who was identified as Cameron Burnett. Upon contact, Burnett displayed multiple signs of intoxication. A subsequent investigation revealed the discarded item was an open container of an alcoholic beverage.Further investigation also determined that Burnett was in possession of a loaded handgun at the time of the incident."Cameron Burnett was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for Driving While Intoxicated, Unlawfully Carrying Weapon, and Evading in a Motor Vehicle. His total bond was set at $20,200.00 out of the 180th District Court and County Court 13." - Constable Mark Herman
