'Kingwood Commons is a shabby little development'
This is a quote from the Food Editor for the Houston Chomical about the opening of the Paris Baguette in the Trader Joe's center (I guess we can't call it the front Randalls center anymore, can we?).
See the link below.
I've to expect this kind of comment on any news 'outside the loop'. Those inner loopers consider anything north of them as South Dallas. www.chron.com/food/a rticle/paris-baguett e-kingwood-21328807. php

That's just not true, there's nothing shabby about it.
That was rude for the author of the article to call it shabby.

cbear : Well, you get the gist of the article. Very tacky and catty of the chomical.
CaffeineFree : It wasn't that bad.
I'm looking for his email to drop him a line. Nothing rude or anything, but a link to Merriam Webster definition of shabby. Live and learn lol

It sounded like he was trying to bring consumers to the area, IMO. I think y'all are being defensive. The shopping center is older. It's also been given new life. That's all he was saying, like, come check out this shabby spot that's beginning to thrive. The guy is probably a hipster, I wouldn't sweat it.
