Sounds like fun! I am planning to begin volunteering at the Rodeo, once I retire. My son and his gf have been doing it for the last 3 years, and love the perks, being on the grounds, and the 'family' they volunteer with. There are events and meetings throughout the year, too. Right now, my schedule doesn't accommodate that, but it will, when I retire. I think you will really enjoying being a part of this volunteer group!

My roommate volunteers. I may do it next year. I habe a friend that does at the hobby center, im going to look into that also.
Staying busy keeps me out of trouble and put of the kitchen

Congratulations! That's a great place to volunteer. A cousin volunteers at the Astros games. A few years ago her granddaughter got to say the "Play Ball". They enjoy free games.
