It was a zoo at HEB in KW at 10:00am. I just went for my normal groceries and food for next week.
Thank you. It would be worth the drive to avoid the Kingwood chaos. Thankfully we are well prepared already.

Kroger at Valley Ranch is an island of Calm! They have bananas. They have bread they have chips. They have plenty of water and toilet paper. Come on down!
That's because nobody wants to go to New Caney.
People would rather wade through crazy crowds, empty shelves, and what is clearly controlled retail by making people think they need to pay anything, if they see one item left on the shelf, or drive 12 minutes to New Caney and have a pleasant shopping experience? I'll take the road with less stress, thanks very much!

I would be willing to drive to the New Caney store for a nice, calm shopping experience. Also, not having to worry if everything is in stock, and getting a decent parking spot, all sounds very much worth it to me.

@CatalinaKitKat: spoke to one of the managers at VR, and he said that they do not expect to have empty shelves, or any type of long-term problems, re the storm, at all. they're only concern is whether or not the roads will be passable on Monday, and therefore safe for their employees to get there, but at this point, they do plan to be open.

That's great to hear, thanks for letting everyone know!
Baby Walmart is pretty much out of water. Only a few 6.97 cases of Dassani left

I don't understand the shelf clean out at HEB. That's the one store we can count on during natural disasters.

New manager at heb. Remember Tony Klaus used to be there unloading, directing trucks, bagging, stocking shelves, whatever it took for emergencies. He was there when they opened and would keep the store open til everyone got what they needed. I haven't seen the new manager.
