Does it seem weird to you that Houston MTA ( metro ) gets to put a tax on cell phone bills every month? Cell phones are not land lines. We use to have one land line coming to the house. Just pay tax on that line. But with multiple cell phones they get to put a tax on each cell phone too. It may not look like much tax, but all those tiny taxes add up especially for larger families. Times changed since the 90s with the old rules and we moved to cell phones and metro cashing in. Let's talk about that CEOs salary that all of our cell phones taxes are paying.

Yes they are. I understand the 1% sales tax on the primary phone number (if it is not double taxation from another source) based on the primary phone rules when it was first voted in, but additional family members under the same plan? I don't know why I see an MTA tax on each of those lines when I see the bill costs by each phone number. It should only be allowed to apply to the primary number once which is equivalent to one land line.
