Sadieseekgod1st : Have you tried the Salvation Army? Are you working? Sorry you are down on your luck. What's your longterm plans? Maybe Job corps? I hear it's ramping up its outreach. Do you have a car to sleep in? Where do you stay at night? The Salvation Army contracts with local hotels during cold weather. Best of luck with your housing young lady. Do you need a coat? A blanket?

Sadieseekgod1st : Hope housing doesn't take two years. Have you tried women's shelters? They will help you find employment and get on your feet. There's one in Humble I believe. Also Hamm ministries pass out food several days a week from the food bank. Are you from here? Any family?

The United Way has a fantastic program for women that gives them assistance they need to secure employment and get back on their feet.

How's your cell phone being paid for?

Brat: I was wondering about the same thing. Like how is it that they have phones and homeless ? Doesn't one need an address to get the bill or a bank acct if paying online ?
Oh well I guess there's always a way for everything .

Try Society of Saint Steven's by Kingwood Methodist Church. We had 2 homeless people come in last week.

If you are homeless living in a car, there is a free meal tonight up the road.

Yes ive tried shelters for women and they dont do well with people who have a mental illness

My only problem is my mental illness that im not trying to make a big deal about it involves me needing privacy and to others it seems like a luxury im requesting. Honestly when I was in the shelter for a week, I didnt sleep or eat there.... so its not ideal for everyone .
