Trust me Trust me: Drug addicts & dealers don't give away their stash, especially in this economy haha! 😅 This story is out of Walden & it looks like someone just got caught looking for attention! 🙄 This woman is adamant that her child ingested cocaine that she found in her Halloween candy and that it actually tested positive for cocaine when she brought it to officials. Problem is. Montgomery County detectives just released a statement and they have a little bit of a different story. ***It DID NOT contain ANY narcotics*** Here's her post from Facebook. The response from Montgomery County this morning is below that. PLEASE CHECK YOUR KIDS CANDY!!!!!!!! I see this on the news all the time and think "that's crazy, or fake news" PLEASE check your kids candy, this happened in Walden, in Montgomery Texas! It tested positive for cocaine! My 9 year old ate candy with COCAINE. also attached the route we walked! Haisley is fine, they did take her by ambulance to Texas children's to get checked out. To answer everyone's question. We walked the route posted below, took about an hour. Got back to the car & decided to go behind berthas. On the drive haisley opened the pack of gummy bears, the lights were off in the car, so I'm not 100% if the package was opened, or resealed. Like I said, the lights were off. Thank God my nine year old, was paying attention. She did eat a few, and noticed one felt weird, so she asked me to look at it. I turned the light on, and was shocked, I started googling to see if this was something that happens in the factory. By that time we were pulling up behind berthas and I asked Logan to look at and showed it to my brother. We were both super concerned and tried to call the nonemergency line. It kept ringing, so we jumped in the car and went to the closest fire department in Walden. They checked her over, dispatched police, and ambulance. They tested the stuff in the candy and it came back positive for cocaine. They are going to be sending the rest of it off for labs and following up with us for a detective. We were transported by ambulance to Texas children's and all of her labs came back normal. I'm definitely thanking God & and Haisley for paying attention and realizing that that wasn't normal candy. We are very blessed that we had a good outcome. Our night could have been a lot different. I've seen so many of these post and skipped right over them, never even checking my kids candy. MCSO Investigating Reported Suspicious Candy Received on Halloween. On October 31, 2025, deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office received a call in the Walden Subdivision regarding a child who had ingested candy that reportedly had a white substance in the center of it. The child's parents promptly took them to a nearby fire station, where MCSO deputies were notified. Out of an abundance of caution, the child was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where tests showed no presence of narcotics. The child has since been released. Preliminary test results on the candy, conducted by detectives, show a negative result for any narcotics. The white substance in the candy tested positive for corn starch. The candy will be sent off to a DPS laboratory for more extensive testing. As a reminder to all parents, regardless of where your child went trick-or-treating, please inspect all candy thoroughly. When my kids trick-or-treating, we never allowed them to eat the candy that was handed to them. I always bought the candy that they loved before Halloween. They got to pick whatever kind they wanted and we kept that at home and then when they got home , they got into their own candy bags. I would never let a stranger hand my kids candy. And I know a lot of people don't feel the same way. I do. I'm overprotective all the time was even worse when they were younger. But there's so many nuts out there right now.

teatime : Exactly. She posted the story on her page but I don't think she expected her friends to tag Grizzy and for her to share the story! Doh! You know what that means lol. Her followers picked the story apart, and of course Montgomery County had to make a statement, since everyone was freaking out thinking people were passing out drugs to kids lol. 🤦‍♀️ I know it shouldn't be funny but come on. I thought this story died in the 90s when I was a kid! Back then, there were also "people putting razor blades in candy bars!" Except it turned out to be one instance and it was the MOTHER of the kid who did it.....for attention. I'm curious how long it will take for her to delete her post now that Montgomery County has posted their response. 😬
