HOUSTON - Council Member Fred Flickinger would like to make Lake Houston Area residents aware that Houston Public Works, Coastal Water Authority, and San Jacinto River Authority are working closely together and monitoring rainfall forecasts for this weekend. Scattered to widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected Friday night into Saturday in advance of an approaching front, with widespread rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches possible. Periods of moderate to heavy rainfall may continue through late Saturday night or early Sunday morning. Lake Houston:
Lake Houston is currently at 42.13 feet (normal pool is 42.4 feet). Lake Houston gates will be opened beginning tomorrow morning to lower the lake one foot below normal pool, according to pre-release protocols. Property owners along the lake should secure their shoreline property. Lake Houston levels can be monitored here. Lake Conroe:
Lake Conroe is currently at 199.99 feet (normal pool is 201 feet). Lake Conroe levels can be monitored here."

Fireba11 : Kingwood Lakes by the golf greens looks very low. It has been a long time since I have seen it that low.
