On this day in history.... On this day in Texas History, October 15, 1987: 18 month old Jessica McClure fell into a well in her aunt's backyard in Midland, Texas. 
It took 56 hours to free her from the 8 inch wide well in a rescue effort that captured the entire nation's attention. 
Today, Jessica is 39 years old. She continues to live in the Midland, Texas area. After working for many years as a special education teacher's aide, she has since transitioned to working as a landscape laborer. She is married to Danny Morales, and together they have 2 children; a son and a daughter.
