Anyone know where DH can buy straw (not hay) to protect his banana plants this winter? He's looked around the KW /Humble area and what he's found is very expensive.

Thanks for the question. Build a 4' fence around the plant with chicken wire about 12" from the base of the plant. Use small fence posts (1"x2" wood) to keep it from collapsing. Fill it with straw for best insulation. Hay is also good but we don't want to attract any unwanted guests. Look on YouTube for more information.
