Do solar powered landscaping lights work well in Kingwood? Do you have a problem with theft of them since they are not wired to the ground?

Where do you get wired ones that aren't $400 a fixture. I was hoping to find the kind that look like lanterns?

It has been years since I got them. But honestly so many friends have come in my yard to dig up plants and the cut the wires that I pulled them all out. But I know I did not spend $400 a fixture. We did it ourselves. Best to get done by a pro but a lot of money for sure.

They don't sound like friends to me if they cut your landscaping wires and don't fix them. 🥴

I had some that were very dim and some didn't even work. Then my yard guy kept weed eating too close and they had plastic posts that cracked so I eventually tossed them all.

I threw away a string of solar lights this week. Solar screen was cracked; water was in a few bulbs. They were good for a year.
I have a wired set on the covered back patio. They work fine but need to be taken down and cleaned.

I have some around my backyard, so I don't really worry about theft. They are not as bright as the wired ones, but I like them.

We put them around the backyard fence and looks so nice at night. We have up lighting in the front yard but have been seeing some houses with lights in the peaks of the roof line. I am interested in getting that done probably 5 lights. Any one had that done and who did you use to do it.

I have them in the back and they stay lit for about 6 hours compared to the wired ones.

My Dad was ahead of his time. He was a Designer ...solar panels.

I love my solar lights. Inexpensive and easy to use. Try something small before you go all out.

The only prob was our HOA had a total meltdown over my string lights on a back balcony. Tried to say they were Christmas lights...nope, soft white and no colors. Well they are a nuisance. Nope...that's you. Anyways, finally worked our way through that brewhaha.

The string lights look cool on patios and balconys.

I have several and the only issue is placement during the various seasons and the shift in sunlight supplying power. A simple shift in position seems to accommodate the changes nicely. Otherwise, they are adequate for my needs.

Not so much. They don't stay on very long and the batteries don't last. If they are not in direct sun light they won't charge very well.

Well, stinky cheese! I wanted some old fashioned lanterns to put up for Christmas up the sidewalk, but then got to thinking I'd love some lights up the path year round, and if they are metal, they are usually $200-400 a light! I can't afford that!

Something like these only electric was the original search:

And I wanted them to be 11-15 inches!
