If you have children not in school yet you can look into a Mother Day Out program at several churches. The kids will make friends and/or you will meet mothers to meet up with. We would drop off and the moms would go have breakfast.

Kingwood First Baptist Church has a special group for young moms called "Fearless Moms". It meets every Wednesday morning at 9:00 in the church fellowship hall. Child care is provided. Come meet some very sweet women.
