It was a long time ago, and I don't want to get into any potential legal trouble. I'll just say, my impression was that he was highly unprofessional.

I would only recommend Dr. Nunez, if you're just looking for a colonoscopy. He found several problems with me, but didn't recommend any treatment for them.

I've been seeing Dr. Nunez on and off for stuff for a little under 25 years (along with Dr. Banker and Dr. Hamat). Yes, it's true: the communication with the office can be a little rough and you'll definitely be waiting a lot at appointments. If you can get over that part though, he definitely takes his time with you and knows his stuff. I had an appointment with him at his new practice but I had to cancel it. I see that they haven't even uploaded his picture yet to the website...I've also seen Dr. Shahzad and some of his P.A.'s for stuff, and they weren't bad (around the corner from Nunez)

Kittle : Boy that's off putting, isn't it? I get these guys get busy but when you can no longer return calls bc you're short staffed or too busy, time to reevaluate your business practices.
Dr.Lugo does this on the regular. You can call and you HAVE to leave a message bc no one ever answers live. Then you get no response. Ugh

Kittle : I recommend Dr. Khanh Le. His bedside manner is not the greatest, but he is honest and direct.

My son uses Dr Pragnash Patel at Houston Regional Gastroenterology. He likes the doctor ok but agree with your issue with not answering the phone and leaving messages with no response. Son had appointment he needed to change last week. Called 3 times and left messages. They never called back yet.

I am sorry your experience with Dr Nunez was disappointing. He has been great for us medically with a not great staff. In 2023 while testing based on other symptoms he discovered DH had gallstones and followed thru with all issues. Unfortunately the new office staff is even less great than when he was in his previous location.

Are you aware that Dr. Nunez moved and is now on Kingwood Dr. in back of HCA? He is associated with Houston Regional Gastroenterology. We have dealt with inefficient staff and long waits knowing once we see Dr Nunez he will take as much time as is necessary. We are comfortable with his treatment. Not being able to speak even with staff for a couple of days while trying to get an appointment is not acceptable. We went by his office around noon and was scheduled to see him next Monday. The reason given for no return calls is that only one person returns calls and has a 24 hour window to do such. That person is working a different location today and isn't even in his office. Grrrrr

It is frustrating. I am old school and remember doctors returning calls instead of a staff member. The inability to even make an appointment is totally unacceptable.
