Just curios .... What do teachers tell the kiddos about when a school comes down as "lock down"? Especially those younger ones that just live in the moment??? They have to be scared and just want "Mamma".

they will inform them in an age appropriate manner. for the Littles, they will say that police are taking care of someone, and we need to stay here, to stay safe. Older kids, they may give a bit more info,but no continuing info on the amount of police presence, etc. TG they do Not have their phones, so they cannot look it up.

ZMAN : This is exactly why I disagree with the no cell phone in school policy. Total ******** with as many insane things going on lately.

I don't have a kid in school but totally agree they should be able to have their phones.

Back it up a notch, Texas did not say kids could not have cell phones, they just said they would not be allowed in class rooms. It eliminates the cheating on test and not paying attention to what the Teacher is teaching. Eliminates texting in class rooms when they should be studying and learning.
