Covenant Preparatory School (Hamblen Road) Parents and students are probably noticing some abrupt changes that have them scratching their heads and wondering why. From the Harris County District Clerk's public records: Case 2025-37659: The nearby owners of homes in Forest Cove claim that the school used fraudulent methods in attempting to obtain votes for constructing new facilities on the school's grounds. Additionally, the purpose/intended use of the property was alleged to be misrepresented. The school, which is restricted to use for purposes of "church" had also filed for an amendment to existing restrictions. This proposed amendment would change the use for the purpose of a private school with up to 850 students. Think about that for a minute.

YLMarks : How many kids are at that location now?
YLMarks : we interviewed them for one of our kids about 25 years ago, probably not the same people anymore, but we were not impressed.
YLMarks: i live close to this school/church. Traffic on Hamblen is BAD at pick up time, as it is. I do not know how many students go to the school at this time but really wonder just how bad it will be with an increased student population?
Is there room for that many kids? traffic?
msuz : No there's not. People are so mad in Forest Cove especially the ones that live near the school off of Hamblen. . There's just not enough room for them. And they said the amount of cars that would be on Hamblin would be a nightmare. And the people that live near there say with the kids, they have now it's always so loud. Sometimes they have events that last up until 11 o'clock at night at the church there and people are not getting any sleep. They said that people collected votes that didn't even live in the area. So it'll be interesting to see how this turns out.

YLMarks : OMG! That would be awful. Can you imagine the traffic? I thought Covenant Preparatory School was supposed to build across from St. Martha's. I wonder what happened to that idea. Also, I think they have a location on the street the little WalMart is on. Really, they have no business being in Forest Cove as it is. Especially if they are going to have 850 students.

YLMarks : I have been in that traffic. It is awful! I cannot imagine having to deal with it everyday and living across the street form that.
