Remodeling the Cracker Barrel? Has anyone heard this? Read a pos

If I go out to eat, it's for quality of food, not quality of decor

sheltielover : It's been all over the news and social media for the last week or so. It's part of their rebrand. The logo change flopped, their stock tanked, and the people revolted. After all that, they are going back to the original logo, but the interior facelifts are still going forward as far as I know. The store is getting trimmed down and opened up, and the dining room will have the same. There are also pics online of both.

mm4731 : Well, unfortunately, that's part of their rebrand flop. They failed to focus on improving food quality. The interior didn't need a remodel, just a top to bottom scrubbing and cleaning.

I'd read about the logo redesign fiasco etc. but not about moving forward with the interior remodel. Too bad...the old time decor always gave the in laws something to talk about at dinner.

Looks like it will be the standard Denny's, IHOP, Waffle House, Huddle House, every other place decor.

Maybe they'll sell the rest.
I saw a youtube video of an old guy talking about it. They have a whole warehouse of antiques with a designated couple that travel and buy for them. I'm guessing they will be retired, the antiques sold and the warehouse sold for money to line their pockets!
They will still have antiques but not as many.

We went to Cracker Barrel for the first time in probably 5 years a couple of months ago solely because we were given a gift card. It's probably gonna be another 5 years before we go back. Very underwhelmed...exactly as we remembered it.

The one here looks the same. I won't be back, though. I have been waiting for my food for 45 minutes! The manager is comping it. He didn't apologize, though, and just let me know it wasn't the servers fault.

They don't even use real maple syrup anymore. The next time I'm feeling lazy and want pancakes, I'll go to IHop

They're getting rid of the only things that distinguishes them from Denny's. God knows Cracker Barrel's food quality is no better.
